Living in Harmony

Energy work is based on the energy meridians in your body.  They are actually pathways of acupuncture points.  Energy runs through these pathways as if they are rivers.  Like rivers, these pathways can get blocked.  It's these blockages that create imbalance, and more seriously, illness. Our goal is the clear the blockages and restore the pathways so that they are free-flowing and healthy. 

No!  Energy Work is always gentle and despite the fact that it follows acupuncture points, it is NOT acupuncture.  Most of the time you will leave a session of Energy Work feeling relaxed, energized, happy, and peaceful.  Sessions usually include a variety of easy movements and some time relaxing in a chair or on a massage table while we correct the flow of energies in your body.

Our world does not operate the way it used to, although our bodies are still designed the same way they were many years ago.  Before populations exploded, people rarely faced a great deal of stress.  Impending doom was uncommon.  Today, our world is completely different.  Some of the things that upset our delicate balance are:

• The unnatural source of our foods, including the multitude of additives and preservatives contained in them and the pesticides on them.
• The extended waking hours of our day, curtailing the amount of restful sleep we get.
• The frenetic schedules we keep, constantly focusing on all that we have not yet accomplished.
• The electro-magnetic currents surrounding us - from cell phone towers to electricity transformers, "wi-fi" to cordless electronics
• The constant barrage of negative information upon us from newspapers, radio, and television.
